GRS Recycling
The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) is a voluntary group of standards to verify and monitor the content of recycled materials in a product. It addresses social requirements, environmental principles, labelling and chemical content, with traceability that applies to all supply chains. Covering the production, packaging, labelling, processing, trade and distribution of products made from at least 20% recycled material, GRS sets out the requirements needed for party certification of recycled products, environmental and social practices, chemical restriction and chain of custody.
GRC Recycle supports organisations that verify the chemical, environmental and social practices responsible for the production of recycled content and products. This organisation, which is generally associated with textiles, covers not only this area but also all recycled materials.
What is the Scope of GRS Certificate?
- Chain of Custody: Tracks materials from the producer to the consumer
- Recycled polymer material: covers 20% recycled materials
- Environmental impacts: Examines the environmental impacts that occur during the production of products
- Ethics Avoiding unethical and dubious sources
- Labour Rights: Ensure that all workers are treated fairly and equally and that they meet labour standards recognised by the ILO.
- Supply Chain. Consider risk situations during supply chains to avoid damaging environmental factors that may occur when making improvements to find resources
